Mid-Term Missions

Mid-term missionaries are often people who are at a life transition point or are taking a significant first step into long-term missions. Mid-Term projects range from 8 weeks to 2 years and should have clearly defined ministry objectives and trip outcomes.

Adam Pietrantonio

My name is Adam Pietrantonio. I’m 26 years old, working part-time and pursuing my Master’s of Divinity. I am also volunteering at the University of Guelph with the campus ministry Power to Change. My aim is to gain ministry experience serving international students, equipping me to serve in Japan as a missionary in the next few years.

My name is Sara. I’m a recent graduate of the Arts and Sciences program at the University of Guelph, where I specialized in Agriculture and International Development. This year I am serving with Mennonite Central Committee in India. I’m honoured to be part of MCC’s mission “to share God’s love and compassion for all in the name of Christ.” Through emergency relief programs, sustainable development initiatives, and peace-building processes, we embody a longing “to see communities worldwide in right relationship with God, one another, and creation.” Thank you for your support! You’re welcome to follow my blog at saraindiablog.wordpress.com or contact me directly at sarawyngaarden@mcc.org.

My name is Alexis. I am currently in my second year of a two-year internship with Power to Change-Students, at McMaster University. God put ministry on my heart as a student at the University of Guelph, where I realized more deeply the need for equipped and engaged Christians to bring the gospel to the campus—a mission field where many students are lost and incredibly desperate for a gospel, and where those who know the gospel have a deep need for discipleship. I got involved with Church of the City going into my 3rd year of University. Doing life with this church and especially my missional community has changed how I do ministry, how I relate to others and most importantly, how I view God. Thank you so much for your support; it means the world to me and I have tangibly seen God at work because of it. If you would like to hear more about my ministry, I would love to share about the wonderful ways God has been working on campus! You can email me at alexis.lyver@p2c.com
